Course and logistics
All events run on park trails and a wide fire road loop. The park offers a scenic 2.7 mile loop fire road used for the 1-mile, 5K, and 10K. The 10K completes the loop twice and includes a short detour onto a narrower side trail to reach distance. Surface is compact dirt and rock. Total elevation gain/loss is about 200 feet per lap for the 5K and 10K. Strollers are permitted; a short narrow section (about 100 feet total) on the 10K detour requires care. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are permitted. Parking is available at Klahowya Secondary School with marked access to the event area. Race packets are distributed during the week before the race and on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
