Sinks Canyon Trail Races : June 13, 2026
The Sinks Canyon Trail Races take place in Sinks Canyon, the corridor to Wyoming's Wind River Mountains. The course area includes wildflower meadows, snow- and ice-covered peaks, deep canyons, and varied trail terrain. The event is organized by the Lander Running Club and uses UltraSignup for registration. Race results from previous years are available.
Distances, course notes, and registration
- 50 km - mountain course with sections into the Wind River Mountains
- 18 km - includes significant climbing, meadows, and forest singletrack
- 6 km - follows the Middle Fork of the Popo Agie River with geologic views
- Kids 1 km - out-and-back course closely following the Middle Fork of the Popo Agie River for ages 12 and under
Registration opens October 13 and closes on the Tuesday of race week at 11:59 PM on UltraSignup. Registered runners may edit entries, change distances, or cancel via their UltraSignup account. Cancelations made 30 days before the race receive rollover credit for the following year; rollover credit requires re-registration before the race reaches capacity.
