Siuslaw Dunes is a set of early-season point-to-point trail races on March 7, 2026, staged from Honeyman State Park at the East Woahink Day Use Gazebo, about 3 miles south of old town Florence, Oregon. Courses pass through coastal terrain that includes open sand dunes with "tree islands", old growth rainforest and forested single-track, stream crossings, and remote ocean beaches. The event beneficiary is Siuslaw High School’s Cross Country and Track & Field programs. The 12K race is part of the USATF Mountain, Ultra, Trail Youth Initiative with a youth category for ages 14-19 and discounted or limited free entries.
- 50K - point-to-point, listed as 31.0 miles, approximately 2,100 ft ascent and 2,070 ft descent
- 20 Miler - point-to-point, approximately 1,400 ft ascent and 1,400 ft descent
- 12K - point-to-point, shuttle start to finish at Honeyman State Park
Logistics and services
Registration opens September 1 and closes March 1; fees vary by distance and registration date (50K $125-$150, 20 Miler $105-$125, 12K $65-$80, 12K Youth $40). All runners must ride the event shuttle to start areas - no drop offs allowed. The fee includes course marking, parking, chip timing and live results, staffed aid stations, medical support, radio communications, a post-race meal and beverages, custom finisher award, and event photography. Camping is available at Honeyman State Park; nearby lodging is in Florence. Dogs are not allowed to start with runners but may join on leash from aid stations and are allowed at finish and aid areas.
