Event
The Skidaway Island Half Marathon & 5k is scheduled for February 28, 2026 in Savannah, GA. The event offers two distances:
- Half marathon
- 5k
About 800 runners are expected in the half marathon and about 200 in the 5k. The half marathon course is US Track and Field certified; the 5k is not certified. The race uses MyLaps chip timing with instant online results and supports RaceJoy for live GPS tracking and progress alerts.
Course and logistics
The venue is on Skidaway Island, with the event place listed as 10 Ocean Science Circle and parking at the Skidaway Island Ocean Institute (30 Ocean Science Circle). The course runs through The Landings Association and The Landings Club and includes marsh and riverfront views, homes, and golf course areas. The first and last 2.5 miles are open to the public; the middle section is inside a gated association and requires a Landings resident for access. Aid stations are placed every 2 miles, with Gatorade provided at two locations. Finishers receive a medal, a race shirt, and free photo downloads; awards are given to age groups. Packet pickup is scheduled for February 27 at a local running store. Pets are not allowed; strollers and headphones are allowed. The half marathon has a 4 hour time limit.
