Skipjack Run

The Skipjack Run, held at Deal Island Harbor in Maryland, offers both 5K and 10K races. Participants start and finish on the scenic Deal Island Bridge, a gently sloping half-mile stretch. The course features stunning views of the Chesapeake Bay Skipjack Fleet, the last commercial sail-powered fishing fleet in North America, and local wildlife like ospreys.

After the race, runners can enjoy Deal Island Beach, known for its sea glass treasures. The event includes professional chip timing, multiple water stops, and welcomes walkers, strollers, and leashed dogs. Proceeds support the Deal Island Community Thanksgiving Dinner, with refreshments, raffles, unique trophies, and race day registration available.
