Skull Krusher 50k
The event is a 50K trail run in Cave Creek, Arizona, on Cave Creek / Tonto National Forest trails that reach Skull Mesa. The course has roughly 5,000+ feet of elevation gain and loss. The organizer describes the route as fairly difficult and rocky and largely self-supported. The event will take place rain or shine, and there are no refunds or credits for withdrawals or cancellations.
Course and logistics
The race starts and ends at Bronco Trailhead, where free parking is available. There is one fully stocked aid station at mile 22. Other on-course water sources are creeks (Trail 4); participants are expected to carry water, food, hydration, and necessary gear such as a water filter from the start or from the aid station.
