Event overview
The Skunk Ape Night Run takes place on July 18, 2026, at Green Swamp - West Tract, 13347 Ranch Road, Dade City, FL 33525. The event distance is 30K. Awards are given to the top four men and top four women overall. Finishers receive a choice of small drinkware items and stickers; additional shirts and hoodies are available from the event merch store. The event includes a post-race potluck with a $15 fee; participants are encouraged to bring shared food items. The event is listed as Trail Sisters approved and adheres to standards of the American Trail Running Association, the International Trail Running Association, and the International Association of Ultrarunners.
Course, aid, and logistics
The course covers a variety of Florida terrain: pasture lanes, mud, dirt roads, single-track on the Florida Trail, sandy hills, fire berms, grassy horse trails, and creek crossings. Course marking uses reflective tape, pink flagging, and turn signs. Aid stations appear every 3 to 5 miles and are stocked with drinks, snacks, and basic first-aid items; women’s hygiene products are available at aid stations. There is one drop bag zone at the Berm Aid Station; bags must be labeled and will be returned to the start/finish after that aid station packs up. Camping is free at Green Swamp campgrounds by reservation and sites have picnic tables and fire rings.
