Event overview
Skunk Ape’s Revenge takes place on February 14, 2026 at the Green Swamp - West Tract near 13347 Ranch Road, Dade City, FL 33525. The event offers the following distances:
- 60K
- 30K
- 30K Ruck
Awards are given to the top four men and top four women overall. Finisher items include hats and stickers; 30K Ruck participants receive an additional patch. A merch store will offer shirts, hoodies, and long sleeves. The event hosts a pet food drive for the local charity Cindy’s Pets; volunteers deliver about 2,000 pounds of pet food monthly to over 400 pets.
Course and logistics
The course uses a mix of pasture lanes, dirt roads, single-track Florida Trail, sugar sand, fire berms, small hills, and open fields. The route includes crossings of Cumpressco Road and Ranch Road, a small bridge, a loop near the Big Foot BSA campsite, and marked final turns with tall flagging. Course marking will use pink flagging, arrows, glow sticks, and tape.
Aid stations are placed every 3 to 5 miles and will stock drinks, snacks, band-aids, and a box with women’s hygiene products. There is one drop bag zone at the Berm Aid Station that runners will encounter twice; drop bags must be labeled and are returned to Start/Finish after the aid station packs up. The 30K Ruck has weight standards (20 lb if under 150 lb; 30 lb if over 150 lb) and requires a ruck sack only. Pacers are not allowed for the 30K; 60K pacers may join on the final 30K loop. Camping is free at Green Swamp campgrounds with a required reservation and onsite picnic tables, fire rings, or grills. The event follows ATRA, ITRA, and IAU guidelines.
