Event details
The South Mountain Half Marathon takes place on May 2, 2026 in Lehi, Utah, with start and finish at Olympic Park. The race distance is 13.1 miles with a total elevation gain of +624 ft. The field is limited to 250 runners. Late registration runs from April 3 through May 1. Packet pickup is available on the Friday before the race at the Salt Lake Running Store and on race day at the starting area. Same-day registration is not available.
Course and services
The course is an out-and-back along the southern section of the Jordan River Parkway. The route passes parks and Thanksgiving Point and climbs into the foothills of South Mountain in Bluffdale. The course is 100% paved and marked with pink flags, ribbons, signs, and trail marshals. There is no official cutoff time.
Aid stations include Gatorade, water, Honey Stinger gels and waffles, fruit, and assorted snacks. Several aid stations and the finish have bathrooms. Free finish-line photos will be taken and provided without a logo or watermark. Runners receive a race shirt and a locally made finisher medal. Post-race items include bread and baked goods, milk, juice, and bananas. Parking is free but limited; carpooling or drop-off is recommended. Spectator locations are listed for specific mile points.
