Event overview
The Southern Arizona Triple 50 is a single registration package that covers three separate ultramarathon events in southern Arizona. It includes the Colossal Vail 50 in Vail on December 6, the AZT Oracle Rumble 50 in Oracle on January 31, and the Old Pueblo 50 in Sonoita on March 7. Each event is a 50-mile race and takes place on portions of the Arizona National Scenic Trail. Event proceeds are donated to the Arizona Trail Association to support trail protection, maintenance, promotion, and related work. The series is supported by Team Woodall with Long Realty.
Awards, registration and policies
Runners who finish all three ultras within 45 hours receive a custom garment, a finisher certificate showing the cumulative time, and inclusion on the list of finishers. Discounted registration rates are offered to Native Americans, Arizona Trail Association members, and military veterans. If a participant does not finish all three within 45 hours, a $30 refund is provided to cover part of the cost of the finisher garment. Partial registration credits toward future Arizona Trail Endurance Events may be offered if a participant notifies the organizers at least two weeks before a race; these credits are handled on a case-by-case basis.
