Spring Fever 5K | 5M | 8H - Hingham, MA (April 11, 2026)
Spring Fever is a trail event held at Wompatuck State Park campgrounds in Hingham, MA on April 11, 2026. The event offers three distance options:
- 5K - loop around Prospect Hill; mostly trail; about 1 mile pavement; ~150 ft elevation
- 5M - shared route with the 8H; mainly trail with some pavement; ~350 ft elevation
- 8H - 5 mile loop repeated in an 8-hour window; field limited to 50 runners
Course details and logistics
The 5K course loops around Prospect Hill and returns to the campground. The 5M and 8H courses follow the same route, primarily on trail. The 8H consists of repeated 5-mile laps; there is a required final-lap cutoff in the afternoon. Expect mud and some standing water on trails in April.
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before and at the park on race day. Parking is available at the transfer station a few hundred feet from the campground entrance. An area by the lap finish line will hold drop bags for 8H participants. A community food and drink table will be at the start/finish with gluten-free, vegan, and nut-free options; an on-course water and snack station is located about 2 miles into the route. Porta potties will be on site. Children must stay with a parent or guardian, dogs are not allowed, and entry terms include no refunds. Registration closes April 10 at 11:59 PM ET.
