Course and logistics
The start and finish are at the NYNJTC Headquarters. Participants should park in the Reservation parking lot; a short wooded path connects that lot to Headquarters. The course is a 1.60 mile "lollipop" loop repeated twice for the 5K. Except for a short singletrack connector under 0.20 miles, the route is a wide gravel/dirt trail that circles Scarlet Oak Pond. The loop is described as very flat and not technical; road shoes are acceptable and trekking poles are allowed. The course will be marked with bright ribbon and red directional arrows.
Race entries include a bib, handcrafted finisher medal, and access to an aid station with water, Skratch, and snacks. Awards are given to the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers who are wearing a onesie. Dogs are not permitted. The organizer does not offer refunds; a deferral policy is available under specified conditions. Volunteer roles are available for check-in, aid station crew, and course support.
