The Sri Chinmoy 5K & 7-Mile takes place on Sunday, March 8, 2026, in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NY. The event offers two distances:

- 7-Mile
The races are organized by the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team in cooperation with the Prospect Park Alliance and NYC Parks Department. Age restrictions are: 5K open to ages 13 and up, 7-Mile open to ages 15 and up. Registration fees are the same for both events: $31.74 through Feb. 9, $35.98 through Feb. 27, and $40.22 through Mar. 7 (registration closes). No race-day registration. Entries may not be transferred. Packet shipping is available to US addresses for $7.95 through Feb. 25; packets ship Feb. 27.
Course, amenities and awards
The course is a scenic loop on the pedestrian lane of the main Park Drive, traveled counterclockwise through forest and meadow. Key course points include Lincoln Rd. Lawns, Battle Pass, Nellie’s Lawn, Long Meadow, Lookout Hill, Prospect Park Lake, and Harry’s Wall. The 5K covers just short of one loop; the 7-Mile is two loops with a short out-and-back on Center Drive during the second loop. Aid stations are provided every mile and bag check is available. All finishers receive a custom finisher medal and free finisher photos. A vacuum insulated drink bottle is guaranteed for participants registered by Feb. 22. There is a post-race pancake breakfast. Time limits: 5K - 1 hour; 7-Mile - 1 hour 45 minutes. Awards are given in men’s and women’s categories by age group; custom medals for all finishers. Results will be posted on the race webpage within 24 hours. If the event is canceled for safety or weather, it may convert to a virtual event with giveaways and awards mailed to participants.
