The Sri Chinmoy New Year's Day Half-Marathon takes place on January 1, 2026 in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens, New York. Course, services and rules
The course is described as a scenic, flat loop that passes the Unisphere, Queens Museum of Art and the Fountain of the Planets. The route comprises a short start loop of about 0.36 miles plus ten main loops of about 1.27 miles each. Mile signs are posted and all laps are counted. Aid stations are provided every mile and a main aid station will offer water and hydration mix. Other amenities include free parking, bag check, custom race shirts (guaranteed for registrations by Dec. 18), custom finisher medals and packet shipping for $6.95. Awards are given in age categories with specified top-place cutoffs. The event has a 3-hour time limit (minimum pace 13:45/mile). Results are posted on the race webpage within 24 hours. If the event is cancelled for reasons beyond organiser control, it will be converted to a virtual race with shirts and medals mailed to participants.
