The SSW Running Club Club Challenge is a 5k held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, in Tinley Park, Illinois (ZIP 60477). The course runs through the trails of Yankee Woods. The start and finish are located at Yankee Woods, near 166th Street and Central Avenue. Entry fee for the event is listed as $20, with a registration price increase after December 15, 2025.
Format and awards
Area clubs may enter three-person teams that are all male, all female, or co-ed. Team divisions include high school, open, and masters. The combined times of a team’s three finishers determine the team champions. Unattached runners are also welcome. Individual awards are given to the top three overall finishers and to the top three in multiple age groups, ranging from 14 and under up to 70 and older. After the race there is an awards ceremony at Oliver’s in Oak Forest where race participants can receive one free appetizer. A course map and directions are referenced for the Yankee Woods location.
