The St. Croix 40 Winter Ultra is a challenging 40-mile winter endurance event held in Hinckley, Minnesota, within St. Croix State Park.

Participants can choose to compete on foot, skis, or fat bikes, navigating through a cold Minnesota night while carrying all essential survival gear. The race emphasizes winter survival skills, requiring competitors to demonstrate proficiency with their gear at two skill-testing points along the course. Designed as a short-course survivalist adventure, the event prepares athletes for longer, more demanding races like the Arrowhead 135 and Tuscobia 160.

It offers a unique and intense winter racing experience in a rugged natural setting. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
