St. Matthew's 5K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, in Salisbury, NC. The course starts and ends at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, located at 9275 Bringle Ferry Rd., Salisbury, NC 28146. The event includes the following distances:

Entry, awards and logistics
Registration fees are listed as $20 for the 5K (mail-in through October 23 and online through October 24, 2025; $25 on-site on October 25) and $10 for the fun run. Timing and scoring for the 5K will be provided by Salisbury Rowan Runners. 5K participants receive a Dri-Fit technical T-shirt; pre-registered fun run participants receive a cotton T-shirt.
Awards for the 5K include top two overall male and female winners, and top three in each age division for male and female runners (age divisions from 10 & under through 70 & over). Overall winners are not eligible for age group awards; awards will not be mailed. Fun run awards include top overall male and female, and medals for other fun run finishers.
All funds raised will support two local community members with medical and essential needs. The event is an approved Thrivent Action Team event, with a donation for refreshments. In case of inclement weather the race may be delayed for one hour or portions may be canceled if conditions pose a safety hazard. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
