Steamboat Classic

Steamboat Classic, held in Central Illinois around Peoria, features two races: The Classic 4 Mile, touted as one of the world’s fastest 4M races on a smooth, flat course; and The Classic 15K, Illinois’ toughest 15K through the hilly loops of Glen Oak Park. A half-century tradition since 1974, it’s presented by PNC and known for a welcoming atmosphere that includes walkers, wheelers, joggers, and runners of all ages and abilities. The event is billed as Central Illinois’ premier running experience, a morning by the river that blends elite racing with shared athletic celebration, now expanding into SC415 health initiatives.
