Step Up for Seniors 5K takes place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, in Granbury, TX at the Hood County Senior Center, 501 E Moore St. The event includes the following distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
Registration for the 5K opens July 13, 2026, and registration for the 1 Mile opens July 14, 2026. Proceeds support the Hood County Senior Center and its Meals on Wheels program, which provides over 1,000 meals weekly to local seniors. Pets are welcome but must be on a leash. Walk-up registration is available on the day of the race.
Race categories and fees
Registration fees before September 4:
- 5K - $30.00
- 1 Mile - $15.00
Registration fees after September 4:
- 5K - $40.00
- 1 Mile - $20.00
All participants will receive a participation medal. Age divisions for awards are listed by male and female: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each age group for the 5K. The 1 Mile event awards ribbons to participant finishers in each age group.
