Steps for Shep 5k Road Race

The Steps for Shep 5k Road Race/1 Miler is an annual running event held in Aberdeen, South Dakota, at Northern State University's Barnett Center. Celebrating its 19th year in 2025, the race honors former NSU track and cross country athlete Jason Shephard. Participants can choose between a 5k road race or a shorter 1-mile run/walk, with options to walk, jog, or run.
