Storm the Farm is a trail running event on July 18, 2026 at Briggs Outdoors in Winona, MN. It is the second event in The Storm Trail Race Series and is ATRA Youth Trail Race certified; participants under 19 receive a 15% discount. Pre-registration is required and there will be no race-day registration. The event is cupless, so participants should bring a reusable cup, bottle, or hydration gear; silicone cups will be available for purchase at check-in. There are no time cutoffs for the races. Dogs are not allowed at the venue.
30% of each registration fee, plus all registration donations, will be donated to Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center for Youth Mental Health Programs. Race shirts are available for purchase during registration for $20; the shirt order cutoff is June 15, 2026. Friday night camping is offered for $10 for tents and small teardrop campers, no hook-ups, in a group camp setting on a first come, first serve basis.
Course and race options
The event is held on private land at Briggs Outdoors, featuring steep climbs, open prairies, and shaded single-track trails in the bluffs of Southeast Minnesota's Driftless Region. The main loop is approximately 10k and includes two bluff climbs, a valley, and a crossing of Cedar Creek; multiple laps produce longer distances. The 5k uses one major bluff climb and a mix of double- and single-track valleys.
