Summit Run 5K

Summit Run 5K is a mountain-top road race in Hadley, Massachusetts, racing to the summit of Mount Holyoke. The 5K course offers views of the Connecticut River and the Pioneer Valley, with a redesigned 2025 route that preserves the scenery while removing the Route 47 stretch. Runners begin with a brief uphill warm-up and finish with an 800-foot final ascent to the summit.

Open to runners and walkers of all levels, the event is part of the SMAC Race Series and endorsed by the New England 65 Plus Runners Club. Perks include a halfway water stop, finish refreshments, free race photos, proceeds support Kestrel Land Trust, and age-group and overall awards, plus Atkins Apple Pies.
