Superhero for Special Olympics 5K

The Superhero for Special Olympics 5K is an annual run/walk event held in Gainesville, Georgia, at the Marketplace. The race features a 5K and a virtual 5K option, both supporting the Special Olympics. The course is an out-and-back route along the scenic Highlands to Island Trail.

Participants are encouraged to dress as their favorite superheroes, whether real-life heroes or comic characters, with safety in mind. Awards are given for overall and age group winners, as well as the largest team. Shirts are guaranteed for early registrants.
