Swanzey Covered Bridges Half-Marathon

Elijah's Race, the Swanzey Covered Bridges Half Marathon, is held in Swanzey, New Hampshire. The mostly flat, fast course features 300-400 feet of total elevation gain and runs through historic pre-Civil War covered bridges named Thompson, Carlton and Cresson. Runners traverse paved roads with a rail-bed section and about a mile of dirt trails, finishing at Monadnock Regional Middle-High School.

The event honors founder Elijah Barrett and benefits Monadnock Regional Middle-High School. Perks include guaranteed T-shirts for early registrants, a custom medal for the first 150, six water stations with occasional Gatorade, locker room access, post-race barbecue, and cash prizes for top finishers.
