Tackle The Tar

Tackle the Tar is an exciting 5K obstacle course race organized by the Rotary Club of Rocky Mount, set to take place on May 17, 2025, at the Rocky Mount Sports Complex. Participants will navigate through a challenging course featuring over 20 obstacles, including a mud pit, while enjoying a family-friendly atmosphere with a Kid's 1-mile fun run. The event aims to raise funds for college scholarships for local students, having already contributed over $600,000 since its inception.

All racers receive a T-shirt, medal, and goodie bag, with additional perks for those over 21. Spectators are welcome to join the festivities for free. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
