Tacoma Narrows Half Marathon
The Tacoma Narrows Half Marathon, organized by the Tacoma City Marathon Association, is a scenic running event held in Tacoma, Washington, starting and finishing at Cheney Stadium. The half marathon features an out-and-back course that includes running along the Scott Pierson Trail, crossing a pedestrian bridge over Highway 16, passing through the quiet Skyline neighborhood, and traversing the iconic Tacoma Narrows Bridge before returning to Cheney Stadium. Runners finish with a lap on the stadium's warning track, visible on the jumbotron.
A 5K race also starts and ends at Cheney Stadium, including a lap around the warning track. The event offers a festive atmosphere with race medals, tech tank tops, and post-race amenities, and is partnered with the Tacoma Rainiers baseball team for a weekend of running and baseball fun.
