Event overview
The 45th Annual Tamarac Turkey Trot is scheduled for Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Tamarac, Florida. The main event is a 5K (3.1 miles) run that is USATF certified. The course is described as flat with many corners and runs through the Woodmont area. The route begins on Pine Island Road at 77th Street, continues east on 75th and north on 80th, loops back to Pine Island Road, and finishes at Tamarac City Hall.
Logistics and race services
The event offers a standard 5K entry and a combo option that combines the Tamarac Turkey Trot with the Fort Lauderdale Jingle Bell Jog. Registration fees are tiered: early bird, regular, and late pricing, and registration closes when the race sells out; there is no race day registration. Participants receive a commemorative medal and a t-shirt (sizes include youth medium, youth large, and adult sizes); shirts are guaranteed to the first 2,000 registered. Packet pick-up is held in the days before the race at the Tamarac Community Center; race-day packet pick-up is available at City Hall. Parking is behind City Hall and in a nearby shopping plaza at Pine Island Road and McNab Road. The race uses a Chrono-Track timing system with a disposable, recyclable chip. Water stations are located near the first and second mile markers. Awards include trophies for the first three overall (gun time) and first through third in each age group (net time).
