The Tater-Tot Trot takes place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Sam Houston Trail Park, 101 I-635, Irving, TX 75038. The event program includes multiple options:

Event details and awards
Registration for the 5K and 1 Mile includes an event-themed participation t-shirt and a custom finisher medal; registrants are advised to register by 03/07 to guarantee t-shirt size. The Kid's Dash is free to enter and is described as a short 100–200 m sprint; dashers may purchase a t-shirt or finisher medal as an add-on. The 1 Mile is an untimed event and will not have age group awards; 1 Mile participants still receive a finisher medal and participation shirt. The Virtual Option includes shipping of the shirt and medal the week of the race.
Age group awards apply to the 5K only, awarded four deep in male and female divisions spanning ages 0-4 through 80+. Overall and masters categories (including male and female masters 40+ and grand masters 60+) receive platinum medals. Awards will be distributed at the event and will not be shipped.
