The Thanksgiving Day Turkey Run & Walk takes place on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Shadyside Lake in Anderson, Indiana (Activity Center at Shadyside Park, next to the Pickleball courts; 829 Alexandria Pike, Anderson, IN 46012). The event includes a run option and a walk option. Distances:
- Approximately 2.64 miles (walkers, one lap)
- Approximately 5.28 miles (runners, two laps)
Details
Registration is available online or on race day; the entry fee is $5 and does not include a shirt. Proceeds go to Outfitters, an organization that provides new and gently used clothing to school-age children; the event page notes that last year Outfitters provided over 1,100 children in Madison County with a week’s worth of clothing at no cost. Participants are asked to bring their own hydration and nutrition because water and energy will not be provided on the course.
