The Animal Run Tofurkey Trot

On Thanksgiving Day at the San Leandro Marina Park, Mallard Picnic Area, The Animal Run 5k Tofurkey Trot invites runners and canicross teams to a flat, fast 5K course — mostly dirt and grass with road — in a festive, animal-friendly atmosphere. In its second year, the event supports Herd & Flock Animal Sanctuary in Vacaville. Participants can run solo or with dogs in canicross, wearing safety gear and a bungee link between human and canine partners.
