The Big Turkey

The Big Turkey is an inaugural Thanksgiving Day running event held at Oak Ridge Park in Clark, New Jersey. The race features a mostly flat, scenic course with paved paths lined by birch, oak, and pine trees. Participants can choose between a certified USATF 5K or a half marathon (13.1 miles), making it ideal for runners of various levels.

All finishers receive a commemorative medal and technical shirt, with half marathoners also registered for the 5K to join family and friends afterward. Awards include The Golden Drumstick for top finishers and age group prizes. Amenities include live timing, free photos, water stations, and informal bag check.
