The Bulldog Ultra
The Bulldog Ultra is a trail running event held in the Santa Monica Mountains at Malibu Creek State Park on August 15, 2026. Distances offered include:
- 25k Trail Run
- 50k Ultra

The course combines single track and fire roads with views of the ocean and rugged mountain terrain. The route includes long, steep climbs. Organizers note that temperatures in the canyons can reach triple digits.
Race details
All aid stations are stocked with Skratch Labs hydration. Finishers receive a medal and a race tee, and results are chip timed and available the same day. An age group and overall awards ceremony is held at the post-race festival.
The event lists a $4,000 podium prize purse and additional prizes including a 25k CR Bonus and a 50k cash prize purse. Post-race offerings include complimentary breakfast tacos, a hand-brewed beer garden, festival exhibitors, post-race sports massages provided by Vision For Enrichment, and free race day photos.
