The Coffee Pot Turkey Trot
The Coffee Pot Turkey Trot takes place on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025, in St. Petersburg, Florida. The event is a family-friendly, timed 5K that loops around Coffee Pot Bayou. It is hosted by the North Shore Elementary PTA to benefit North Shore Elementary, a Title One school. The 2025 presenting sponsor is Northstar Realty.
Logistics and race details

The start and finish are located behind North Shore Elementary School at 200 35th Ave NE, with the start line on 34th Ave NE. The 5K is chip-timed and the course is certified (certificate number FL22037JK). One water station will be available near the Snell Isle Bridge.
Packet pickup is at North Shore Elementary (side facing 1st Street) on November 25 and 26 from 4:00-7:00 pm, and on race morning starting at 6:30 am. Parking is available in the lot at 1st Street and 35th Avenue and along 35th Ave NE and 34th Ave NE. Registered participants receive a race t-shirt, a finisher medal, and a chip-timed numbered bib; children 4 and under register free but do not receive race memorabilia unless a shirt is purchased. The race presents awards for overall and age categories and offers prizes for best individual and group Thanksgiving-themed costumes. Dogs are not allowed on school board property. No gear check is available; wheeled devices are prohibited except for baby strollers. A virtual 5K option is available, with packet pickup required at the listed packet pickup times.
