Event overview
The Cove takes place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Mountain Cove Farms in McLemore Cove, Chickamauga, GA (994 Dougherty Gap Rd). The event offers three race distances:
- 50K
- 30K
- 10K
Registration for the event closes on Tue, Mar 10 at 11:59 PM ET. Registration completed by Feb 27 guarantees a race shirt. A 10-hour time limit applies to the 50K.
Course and requirements
All distances start in McLemore Cove and include a climb up Pigeon Mountain. The 10K has 650 ft of elevation gain, the 30K has 2,500 ft, and the 50K has 5,000 ft. The 30K and 50K routes pass Rocktown. The 50K route also goes down the Estelle Mines Trail, passes old railroad tunnels, Pocket Falls, and the High Point Overlook.
The event is on Crockford-Pigeon Mountain WMA, which is not a Georgia State Park. Participants must purchase a day-use Combo Hunting/Fishing (Short Term) License for the day of the race for $5.
