The Forge Gravel Triathlon
The Forge Gravel Triathlon, held in Lemont, Illinois, is a USAT-sanctioned short course multi-sport event featuring a 540-yard open water swim in the spring-fed Forge Quarry, a 10-mile bike ride on crushed limestone and gravel trails, and a 3-mile mixed terrain run including gravel and mountain bike trails. The race offers individual and relay options, including duathlon and 2- or 3-person relays. The course showcases scenic views of The Forge’s natural ecosystem, historic I&M Canal, and quarry lakes.
