Event overview
The Grande Firehouse 5k is a community road race held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, in Boca Grande, Florida. The event distance is 5k. The course starts at the Boca Grande Farmers Market, runs along scenic Gilchrist Avenue past the Gasparilla Inn and Charlotte Harbor views, and finishes near the Boca Grande Farmers Market during the Big Mouth chili cookoff. Registration is online only; there is no day-of-event registration. Race entries are nonrefundable.
Logistics and prizes
Entry fee is $45 for adults and $35 for ages 1-18. Pricing increases after November 8, 2025. Shirts are provided to participants who register early while supplies last. The island is accessed by a toll bridge; tolls apply. Awards are given to the first, second and third place male and female in each age division: under 9, 10-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+. Special awards are also listed for overall male and female, master (40+), grandmaster (50+), senior grandmaster (60+), and veteran master (70+). Proceeds benefit a fire department fundraiser through the Firefighters Association. Directions to the island and driving routes are provided for visitors.
