Event overview
The Great Stew Chase is a 15-kilometer road race and fundraiser in Lynn, Massachusetts, organized by the Wyoma Lions Club. The 50th edition is scheduled for Sunday, February 1, 2026. The event began in 1975 and is described as the third oldest 15K in the United States. Past editions have drawn more than 200 participants.
Format and practical information
Distances offered:
- 15 km individual race
- 2 by 4.6 mile relay, each runner covers half the 15K
The relay hand off is staged in the parking lot at 4 Dearborn Ave (Vortex Corporation). The course will be marked and has a two-hour time limit. Participants who expect to be near the two-hour limit may use an alternate start. Race timing uses the ChronoTrack System. Registration options include early-bird and later pricing tiers for both the individual 15K and the 2-person relay. Relay entries include a t-shirt and refreshments; there will not be prize categories for the relay.
