Event overview
The Ivy Trek Ultra is a trail running event organized by Time 2 Run Race Timing at Clarkco State Park in Mississippi. The race uses a single 7.78-mile loop run multiple times: participants complete different numbers of loops depending on their chosen distance. RFID chip timing will record finish and split times. There is a 10-hour course time limit; runners who have not started their final loop by the published cutoff will be asked to stop and may be listed as 25K finishers if they completed at least two loops. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at Pavilion #2. Camping, cabins, and camper pads are available at the park, but overnight fees are not included in race entry and should be reserved through the park.
Course, logistics and awards
The course is mostly double-track with some single-track sections, several bridges, views of Ivy Lake, and a feature called Gold Fish Pond. One aid station is on the loop and the start/finish area also serves as an aid station. All participants must carry a personal water container; coolers will be available to refill containers. Littering may result in disqualification. Results and a printout of split times will be available at a results kiosk. Proceeds will be donated to Friends of Clarkco State Park. Awards are offered by distance and age group, and the first 100 registrants are guaranteed a race patch. Refunds and deferrals are not offered except for military deferrals with orders.
