The Lake Carey Loop
The Lake Carey Loop in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania is a sprint-distance triathlon around Lake Carey with four event options: Individual Swim Triathlon, Individual Paddle Triathlon, and Relay teams for swim or paddle. The course starts and finishes near the Shore Drive–Siren Road intersection, with water entry at the Insinger/Smith & Brown boat ramp. The swim is 750 meters or the paddle 2 miles, followed by a 20-kilometer bike on township/state roads including a short section of Route 92, and a run of just over 5K circling the lake.
Special awards honor the fastest male and female, teams of veterans/first responders, and fastest corporate team, with proceeds supporting local scholarships and causes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
