Heart of the South Road Race

The Last Annual Heart of the South Road Race is an extreme ultramarathon held in Bryant, Georgia, covering distances of 343 or 400 miles. This unique event challenges runners to navigate a course between 300 and 350 miles away from their vehicles, which are parked atop Sand Mountain. Participants are bused to an unknown start location, given maps only upon arrival, and have 10 days to return to their vehicles using only the supplies they carry or find along the way.
