Course, format and services

The race uses a 2-mile loop on grass trails through a 120-acre preserve with rolling hills and partial shade. Wildlife is present along the course. The timing format sets the first lap at 45 minutes to complete; each subsequent lap requires one minute less to finish. Participants who fail to complete a lap within the allowed time must stop and surrender their bib. Lap counts noted in event information include 7 laps for a half marathon, 14 laps for 26.2 miles, 25 laps for 50 miles, and 31 laps for a 100k finish.

Included with registration are a finisher medal, custom race bib, free admission to the preserve, event photos, post-race music, a collapsible hydration cup, iced towel, and sample hydration. Aid station items listed include pickles, cookies, candy, water, Coke, and ginger ale; the event is cup-less, so participants should bring their own bottle or cup.
