The New Year's Dash 5K Run/Walk takes place on January 1, 2026 in Elizabethtown, KY at the Elizabethtown Sports Park, 1400 West Park Road, Elizabethtown, KY 42701. Registration, entry items, charity, and awards
General registration for the 5K is $30. Price increases after November 30, 2025. Paid participants receive a long sleeve race t-shirt and a hot chocolate mug; to guarantee a shirt or mug, registration must be completed by December 17, 2025. Children who use the free kids entry do not receive a shirt or mug unless registered under the paid option. Proceeds from the race benefit the Elizabethtown Lions Club. The Lions Club supports eyesight conservation, youth programs and scholarships, and community programs such as food assistance and local housing and health services. Race awards include Top 3 male and female overall finishers, Most Creatively Dressed male and female, Most Spirited Runner, and Oldest Runner.
