The Osprey Trail Run
The Osprey Trail Run is a scenic trail running event held at the 94-acre George LeStrange Preserve in Fort Pierce, Florida. It features two main race distances: an 8K (about 5 miles) consisting of two loops, and a challenging 25K (about 15 miles) made up of six loops around a course that includes technical single-track trails, gravel paths, oak hammocks, oxbows, hills, and wetlands. The race route circles a beautiful lake and follows Ten Mile Creek, offering a diverse natural setting with frequent sightings of ospreys and other wildlife.
Proceeds support environmental education programs for underserved youth in St. Lucie County. The event includes aid stations and promotes eco-tourism in the preserve. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
