The Pilgrimage

The Pilgrimage is a unique ultra running event held in the high desert of Western Colorado near Mack, CO. This challenging 150-hour timed race features five distinct off-pavement courses totaling approximately 55 miles per journey, with a combined elevation gain of about 5,900 feet. Runners must complete multiple journeys, each with a different order or selection of routes, testing adaptability and self-reliance.

The course includes single track, dirt roads, and ATV trails, offering stunning views of the Colorado River and a solitary desert atmosphere. The race prohibits pacers, allows limited crew support, and emphasizes navigation skills using GPX files. Aid is provided at a central home base with hot and cold food options.
