The Pilgrimage

The Pilgrimage is a unique ultra running event held in the high desert of Western Colorado near Mack, CO. This challenging race features five distinct off-pavement courses totaling approximately 55 miles per journey, with varied terrain including single track, dirt roads, and ATV trails at an average elevation of over 5,000 feet. Runners must complete multiple journeys within 150 hours, navigating routes that are revealed progressively, emphasizing self-reliance and adaptability without pacers.

The race offers both crewed and uncrewed divisions, with a strong focus on solitude and self-discovery. Aid is provided at a central home base with hot and cold food options, and the event limits participants to 45 runners, fostering an intimate and supportive atmosphere.
