About the race
The River Run takes place in picturesque Simsbury, Connecticut, and offers USATF-certified 5K and 10K road races, plus kids events (1 mile and 1/2 mile). The flat, PR-friendly course runs on smooth roads that border parks, the Farmington River, farms, and leafy residential streets. The event is hosted by the Simsbury-Granby Rotary Club as a community fundraiser, with 100% of proceeds returned to local projects.
Highlights include gun-time with chip timing, awards in multiple age divisions, and a post-race party with food, music, and beer. Kids Run is free, and dogs and strollers are welcome at the rear.
