The 100 mile course is listed at about 104 miles and follows roughly 52 miles out before the return. The 50 mile course is around 53 miles, the half marathon is about 14 miles, and the 50K and 10K are close to their nominal distances. The trail is described as mostly flat and runnable, with single and double track, some fire road sections, boardwalks over wet areas, and mostly shaded sections. The Swamp Fox Trail is marked with white blazes on the relevant section and a GPX file is provided in the runner guide.
Support includes four aid stations plus three water drops on the 52-mile out-and-back; aid stations are visited twice on out-and-back legs except at turnarounds. The event is cupless; participants receive a reusable collapsible cup at packet pickup. Pacers are allowed for 50 and 100 mile runners at or after the halfway point and crew may access aid stations. The 100 miler has mandatory gear requirements and gear checks, and optional tracking is available for 50 and 100 mile entrants. Dogs are not allowed on course during the race. Cutoff times are posted for each distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
