Thomas Wolfe 8K

The Thomas Wolfe 8K is Asheville's oldest running event, celebrating its 47th year in 2025. First held in 1976, this scenic race showcases many historic sites in Asheville, starting at the Thomas Wolfe Memorial House and passing by the author's final resting place in Riverside Cemetery. The event not only promotes community engagement but also supports local initiatives like Read to Succeed Asheville, with fundraising goals set for participants.
