About the race
Thumb Coast Ultra & Relay is a spring ultramarathon event in Michigan’s Thumb region, featuring a 50-mile point-to-point course from Harbor Beach on Lake Huron to Caseville on Saginaw Bay, plus a 50K out-and-back and a 50-mile relay. The mostly dirt-road route traverses open farmland and lakeshore scenery with around 500 feet of gain for the 50M and ~300 feet for the 50K. The course is well marked with generous cutoffs and ample aid stations.
Runners, walkers, and teams can chase the sunset, with special finish prizes for those who beat the sun. Registration includes jacket, medal, photos, and post-race meals. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
