Thunder in the Valley

Thunder in the Valley is a USAT-certified sprint triathlon held annually at Hawthorn Park in Terre Haute, Indiana. Celebrating over 40 years, this event features a 500-meter swim in the calm Hawthorne Lake, followed by a fast 20k bike course with rolling hills, and concludes with a shaded, flat 5k out-and-back run. It welcomes both first-time triathletes and seasoned competitors.

The event also offers a duathlon with a 1.6k run, 20k bike, and 5k run, plus relay team options for both triathlon and duathlon formats.
