Event overview
The Tidewater Striders 2026 Distance Series #1 takes place on January 10, 2026 in Chesapeake, Virginia. The event is based at the Rest Stop at Mile Post 4 on the Dismal Swamp Canal Trail. Multiple distance options are offered in both running and walking formats.

- 10K run and 10K walk
- 20K run and 20K walk
Individual event fees listed are $45 for 5K and 10K events, and $60 for 20K events. The series also offers multi-race challenge bundles: a 10K Challenge ($120), a Half Marathon Challenge ($150), and a Marathon Challenge ($150). A commemorative medal is awarded only after successful completion of all three events within a chosen challenge. Packet pickup is available the Friday before each event from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Running Etc. Hilltop and on race morning from 7:15 AM to 8:20 AM. A lightweight jacket premium is available for $25 during registration. Club members receive a $5 discount per race through 01/09/2026; Strider Plus and Legacy Runners receive a full discount at checkout through 01/03/2025.
